That night I stopped trying harder and started trying differently.
I also remember being told not to apply to the medical school I ultimately attended — my MCAT wasn't good enough. I applied anyway. I got in. And I realized: the system matters more than the starting point.
By graduation I had a 3.9 GPA, crushed both boards, and matched my #1 choice for internal medicine and cardiology fellowship. Not because I got smarter. Because I built a system that compounded across every phase — and kept running it.
